The Bringing forth of Zion in the Last Days

When I attended Ricks College (now BYU Idaho) in 1970, I wrote a research paper on the United Order.  The research that needed to be completed by the submission date was so challenging for me that I turned my paper in late and so received no credit for it.  However, the professor did read my research paper and his response was to encourage me to make a study of socialism.

Socialism is the government ownership of and management of business and property.  Apparently, my teacher's assessment of my research paper was that I was promoting socialism in my research paper.  He may have been correct in that assessment.  Yet, my research showed that the United Order as described in the Latter-day Saint scriptures as my main source of information on the United Order was that the Lord was not promoting socialism.  The scriptures clearly show that after the initial consecration of property to the church, enough property was then deeded back to each steward sufficient for his needs and wants.  Then as each steward provided for his needs and wants, any excess surplus was to be consecrated back to the Bishop's Storehouse to be used for the poor, the needy and to help start new stewardships.

To help establish Zion, in the temple, we all covenant to obey the Law of Consecration.  To consecrate something means to dedicate it to a sacred purpose.  In the temple, we covenant to consecrate our talents, time and resources to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and for the building up of the Kingdom of God on the Earth and for the establishment of Zion.  We do this by recognizing that the Earth and everything in it belongs to the Lord because He is the Creator of Heaven and Earth, and thus everything we have is our stewardship from the Lord.  We ultimately have the responsibility before the Lord of managing everything we possess according to His will.

Although we all covenant in the temple to obey the Law of Consecration, no instruction is given on how we can do this so we can build Zion.  I have thus always wondered how Zion could be established, where the poor and the needy are taken care of so that there would be no poor among us as the Lord wants us to do.

And how is it that we will have all things in Common?  Some have thought that Jesus was a Communist and having all things in Common meant that communism was the way this is done.  Communism is done by force, but God will never use force.  And Communism has always taught atheism, that man came from monkey and that there is no God, and that all our rights and morals come from our government, not from God.  In the preexistence, Lucifer rebelled against the Father because he wanted to use force, but God will never take away our free agency.  If we are ever to build Zion, it will be done voluntarily by the people, and not by extortion.

The current church welware system attempts to help provide for the poor, but it doesn't eliminate poverty.  We are taught to become self suficient, to take care of ourselves and help our neighbor with what we are able.  The way we currently take care of the poor and the needy in the church is NOT the way the Lord established Zion in the time of Enoch, and the time after Jesus' resurrection where the Apostles in the Church of Jesus Christ in Jerusalem had all things in Common, or how the Saints in America among the Nephites after Jesus' resurrection also had all things in Common with no poor or rich among them for 200 years.  If our current welfare system were actually successfully working to establish Zion, there would be no poor among us today.  Obviously, we have many poor among us so we do not have Zion.  Zion are the pure in heart where all members are of one heart and mind, where we have all things in Common, and where there are no poor, nor rich among us.  Jesus has said that he cannot receive us until we are living the Celestial Law, which includes properly living the Law of Consecration and Stewardships so that we are all equal in earthly things so that we can thus be equal in receiving heavenly things.

What does it mean to have all things in Common?  It does not mean that the government owns everything as in Communist or Socialist countries.  It does not mean, as the Utah Saints apparently did in creating United Orders, that everyone belonging to the Order owned all things in Common with no private property.

I believe the scriptures indicate that having all things in Common means that we all have equal access to the consecrations of the people in the Bishop's Storehouse.  But that access comes after we make a commitment to live the Law of Consecration in the Temple and have met with the Welfare Council to choose our Stewardships, and then by making our consecrations on a regular basis of our surpluses to the Lord's storehouse to provide for the poor and the needy, we then have equal claims on the things in the Bishop's Storehouse for anything we might need.  We keep ownership of our properties.  We work our property and stewardships to provide for ourselves and produce some extra to consecrate to the Lord's storehouse for taking care of the poor and the needy and to help others to establish their stewardships.  We all at one time or other are in "need" of certain items as we take care of ourselves, our families and our stewardships, so although we are not part owners of the Lord's storehouse, by virtue of the covenants we have made with the Lord, we are entitled to visit the storehouse and obtain any item we are in need of -- all without the exchange of any money.  Some restrictions would have to be instituted by the Bishop for the storehouse, such as requesting entrance into the storehouse by showing our Temple Recommend, and covenanting not to use storehouse items to sell or exchange for personal profit.

What does it mean to come out of Babylon and establish Zion?  The prophecies of the prophets of God are that in the Last Days we will come out of Babylon and establish Zion by properly living the Law of Consecration with Stewardships.  We just need to learn how to do it.  Perhaps we have not established a Zion society as of yet because we didn't know how to do it.  To establish Zion, we will come out of Babylon and become of one heart and one mind, live in righteousness, have all things in common with no poor or rich among us, each having a Stewardship from which we can provide for ourselves, our families and have enough surplus left to donate to the Bishop's Storehouse.  We will come out of Babylon by ceasing to do iniquity, we will not work for money or have a love of money striving daily to gain riches and caring nothing for the poor and needy, or doing nothing to help others to establish their stewardships.  On the contrary, we will live the Law of Consecration by consecrating to the Bishop's Storehouse all that we produce in our Stewardships that we do not need or want for taking care of ourselves, our families and our Stewardships.  How much could that be?  Rather than being the 10% we currently pay in tithing, and the price of two meals each month that we currently donate in fast offerings, our surplus donation we would give in the Law of Consecration could be 90% to the Bishop's Storehouse, and 10% to ourselves.  For example, if I were a wheat farmer, I would keep say 10% of my crop for my family to eat, or however much our family might want to eat, and donate the other 90% of the crop to the Bishop's Storehouse.  None of it would be sold for money.  In a Zion society, we would not work for money.  Everything would be done without money.  We would work our stewardships, and consecrate our surplus to the Lord's storehouse.  Then whatever else we needed that we did not get from our Stewardship, we would go to the Bishop's Storehouse to obtain.  We would not use money.  We would literally "come out of Babylon" where everything is done with no money.

But the reality is that we currently live in Babylon where money is used.  How could the Law of Consecration be lived with money?  Taking the farmer in the previous illustration.  The farmer would need to pay his taxes, his bank loan, his property taxes, his tractor expenses, his seed, any farm helpers, all his expenses before realizing any profit.  So like any business, he would consecrate only on his profit.  And since the church does not accept anything in "kind," he would need to sell his crop, pay his tithing, keep at least 10% for his savings, and then pay his home mortgage, his car payment, his health insurance, his car insurance, his car payment, his other food that he doesn't grow, his children's schooling, his wife's cosmetics, in short, all his living expenses before what is left can be consecrated to the poor and the needy, which basically would be paid in fast offering donations.

If we were fortunate enough to have a Bishop's Storehouse in our stake or ward and it were close enough to take our consecrations in "kind" to, then the church will still need to make a change and be willing to accept our donations.  Currently, the only donation in kind that we can give to is to Deseret Industries, and the poor are lined up inside fighting over who gets to buy any worthwhile donations that come in so that they can then sell them for money.  I don't think that would be the way a Bishop's Storehouse should work in a truly Zion society.

In a truly Zion society, everything would be done without money.  Anything that members would donate as a consecration would go into a Bishop's Storehouse/warehouse.  Members with a Temple recommend would then be allowed to enter to obtain any needful thing on condition they use it only for themselves, their families and their stewardship, but not to resell for money.  But like my brother pointed out, most of us do not produce anything.  So that is where stewardships would need to be called for and accepted and worked by all members willing to do so.  It could be done either on a stake basis with stewardships offered and assigned by the High Council, or preferably on a Ward or Branch basis with members meeting on an individual basis with the Ward/Branch Welfare Council.  Each member could choose a stewardship of what he is able to produce and able to have a place to produce it.  The goal of members would be to get completely out of debt so they would have more time to work their stewardships.  What each member produced in their stewardship, they would keep say 10% or whatever they needed for themselves, their families and their stewardship, but the other 90% would go to the Bishop's Storehouse for providing for the poor and the needy.  A goal of a ward or branch could be to help members build their homes so they would not need to get into debt to buy one.  Home schooling could be encourged so that a community would not need to build a school, pay teachers and levy property taxes to pay for it.  The goal would be to eliminate all taxes, all interest paid, all inflation, and any need for any insurance.  The goal would be to not need to use money for anything.  If the community wanted a school, all the members could work on it together to build the building, then the teachers would teach as a stewardship and receive what they needed for food and clothing from the Bishop's storehouse instead of being paid in money for a salary.  The same would go for a Health Clinic.  The community would help build the clinic, and the doctors and nurses would do their work as stewardships.

I believe the church is doing a lot in working toward building Zion.  The church has built some Bishop's Storehouses.  The poor are given Bishop's food orders from the Bishop's Storehouse.  The church produces quality food raised on church farms, ranches, and food is canned in church canneries with members having callings to work them.  I think it would be great that each stake and ward would have a Bishop's Storehouse.  The church teaches us gospel principles so we can become of one mind and one heart.  It would be great if each member had a stewardship and that we all could consecrate to the Bishop's Storehouse and that we could all live from the consecrations to the Bishop's Storehouse using no money.  The time is coming when money will cease to exist.  We should get ready for it.  The Lord has taught us that he can only receive us when we are living the Celestial Law.  That means properly living the Law of Consecration and Stewardships.  As one Nemenhah prophet wrote, "As stewards, we have a responsibility to provide for the needs of as many of our neighbors as our stewardship will support, in addition to our own needs." (The Book of Manti Chapter Seven, verse 15.  Manti was son of Ougou, who was the son of Sahnempet, who was the son of Hahgmehni, who was the son of Hahgohtl (Hagoth))

There were five ocasions throughout history that the people of God established Zion.  1) In the time of Enoch who lived between 3378 and 2948 B.C., where the City of Enoch's Zion were eventually caught up to Heaven including buildings, their land and all the people. 2) In the time of Melchizekek, who was King of Salem that later became Jerusalem during the lifetime of Abraham who lived between 2062 and 1887 B.C. when the City of Salem was also caught up to Heaven.  3) During the time of the Apostles of Jesus, that for a time after the resurrection of Jesus Christ the Saints had all things in common, but which dispensation ended when the apostles were killed and the people ended up in apostasy.  4)  In America after the coming of Jesus Christ, the Nephites and Lamanites established Zion having all things in common among them with no rich and no poor among them, every man dealing justly one with another, where all were partakers of the heavenly gift of the Holy Ghost for 200 years, which civilization ended in wickedness with the Lamanites exterminating the Nephite nation at the Hill Cumorah in what today is Palmyra, New York.  5)  In North America, the Nephites and Ammonites who migrated into the Land Northward in about 60 B.C. and called themselves the Nemenhah, which means, the people who follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost, established Zion, became one people of one heart and one mind living the Law of Consecration with Stewardships having no rich or poor among them governing themselves by the Law of Common Consent for about 1,500 years as described in the Sacred Records of the Nemenhah first published in 2011 by their descendants from records found in the sacred cavern archives south of Manti, Utah in the salt mines.

Apparently, according to the prophecies, Zion will not be established in the Last Days until money becomes worthless, and all transportation ceases.  The establishing of Zion will become a necessity in order for our people to survive the latter-day calamities.  The use of money causes the people to work for money rather than working for the love of God and the love of our neighbors.  The working for money usually ends up causing a love of money in the people that results in the cause of all evil.  The North American Indians established their Zion with the economic system of Consecration and Stewardships without money and their Zion lasted for about 1,500 years until the coming of the Europeans when the European diseases killed 90% of the Indians, destroying most of their cities, with a Remnant becoming a nomadic people just trying to survive.

The prophecy on the destruction of our transportation:

14 "Yea, wo be unto the Gentiles except they repent; for it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Father, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy chariots; (our vehicles)

15 And I will cut off the cities of thy land..." (3 Nephi 21, Micah 5)

Transportation Stops

"We would have our gold and be able to buy our wheat supplies barely in the nick-of-time, he said,
because in a short time the situation would grow so bad that all of the automobiles and trains would stop running, and manufacturing would cease because of a complete breakdown in our economy. They would have to put the horseless carriage back in the barn and get the horse out, if they still had a horse. (He made this prediction so far back that the terms "automobile" and "garage" were not yet in popular usage.) Back in the early part of the century, when the automobile was still a novelty, he would tell his listeners that these vehicles would be so numerous before long, that almost everybody would have one and they would get to be as big as boxcars, and be filled, with people going at great speeds up and down the highways with brilliant lights. They would be lined up so thick along-the curb on business streets, that it would be difficult for one to get from the street into the stores and back again. But about this time transportation would stop all over the country, and manufacturing would cease, and the people would have to return to their horses, if they had any, or go on foot. Then we could no longer buy any wheat because there was noway to get to where the big supplies were located, nor could it be brought to us; and those who did have any wheat on hand would not sell it for a bushel of gold. Then the really big troubles began with famine, warfare, plagues and judgments, and we would have to make White City and the Dream Mine into a fortress to protect ourselves from ravaging mobs. In many places, he said, the dead would outnumber the living, while in others there would not even be enough living to bury the dead."
(Prophecy of Bishop John Koyle, of Spanish Fork, Utah, The Dream Mine Story, p. 30)

From a vision recorded in Wilford Woodruff's journal for June 15, 1878:

"The next I knew I was just this side of Omaha. It seemed as though I was above the Earth, looking down to it as I passed along on my way East and I saw the roads full of people principally women with just what they could carry in bundles on their backs travelling to the mountains on foot, and I wondered how they could get there, with nothing but a small pack upon their backs. It was remarkable to me that there were so few men among them, it did not seem as though the cars were running. The rails looked rusty, and the road abandoned, and I have no conception how I travelled myself. As I looked down upon the people I continued eastward through Omaha and Council Bluffs which were full of disease, and women everywhere. The States of Missouri and Illinois were in turmoil and strife, men killing each other, and women joining in the fight, family against family cutting each other to pieces in the most horrid manner."

Money becomes Worthless

Since 1913 when the Federal Reserve was created, the average inflation rate has been 3.16%, which means that 1 dollar in 1913 is today worth about 2.74 cents.  If we continue this into the future, the U.S. dollar will become worth 1 cent in 2056, and 1/2 cent in 2081, and 1/10th of one cent in 2126.  If inflation increases per year into the future, the day the dollar will become worth zero cents will arrive sooner.

Currently, 40% of every dollar we earn goes to pay the interest that banks charge on loans used to make everything we buy. Then 45% of every dollar we earn goes to pay taxes that governments at every level charge us. So after we pay our tithing that leaves us with 5% of every dollar we have left to live on, which is reduced by inflation, and is needed to pay for house insurance, vehicle insurance, life insurance, accident insurance, and health insurance, as well as for our food, clothes, electricity, sewer bill, water bill, medical bills, etc.

The North American Indian prophets saw our day and described it perfectly in their records.  They wrote that we work all our lives to pay for our houses, which cost them nothing, because when they got married or became a member of the church, their neighbors helped them build a home on land that they all knew belongs to God and so cost them nothing.  They wrote that we would pay our government for the privilege of living on our own land, travel on our own roads, for educating our children and having a job.  They had a government of councils where each member of the council was their stewarship with no taxes, no campaigns for public office, no lawyers, no judges, no prisons or fines, and no schools or daycares.  They taught their own children to read and write, and to obey God's laws and commandments.  They wrote that our husbands would not make enough money to sustain our families so that many of our wives would have to work, and our children are put in daycare centers and schools to be raised by others.  Their prophets saw how our money would gradually lose its value and that we would depend on just a few farmers to provide for the food we eat.  Our economy would degenerate to the point that the majority of people would move into our cities which would not be able to provide for all of us and many would become homeless.  The situation they saw would get to the point that food will become scarce and our money become worthless. When that day came, their prophets saw that their descendants would build Zion in the wasteplaces of the land.  They will provide for their own and a some extra for the starving stranger who came into their midsts.

Some quotes from their records:

From the Book of Manti, the son of Ougou who was prophet at the time Jesus Christ visited Mentinah, their capital city.  The father of Ougou was Sahnempet, who was son of Hahgmenhni, who was son of Hagoth:

Chapter Seven
1. "Behold, I have taught you to turn your heart unto the children, and if you do this, you shall be greatly blessed. But you must also turn your hearts one to another. And, in this, I perceive that the Nemenhah shall be an ensample unto all the world. For, you do follow the admonition the Lord gave you when He visited you after His resurrection.

2. And this is a doctrine that is very clear to you and not confusing. But behold, it shall be a matter of great confusion unto your descendents, and they shall spend much time and energy experimenting upon the precepts and principles that they learn from you.

3. Indeed, most of them shall be sundered from their own people by blood and by culture. Yea, they shall be part one people and part another, and the blood of Israel, as also the blood of the Gentiles shall flow through them. They shall be a remnant of all people who shall dwell upon the face of the earth. Wherefore, their confusion in many things shall be great and they will call upon your wisdom, or rather that wisdom which you have seen fit to record and set down for them.

4. And your experiences shall be an ensample unto them insomuch that they will have much which they might use in experimenting upon the words of Christ that they cannot find in their own time and in their own customs. Therefore, see to it that much is written unto them about the Law of Consecration as you do live it, for the manner in which the Nemenhah do live this great law is approved of the Lord.

5. But behold, looking forward into your generations, communities will be formed without regard to the welfare of its members. Each person shall think to own their property and any who do not must become the tenant of one who does. And also each person who has substance and uses it to produce or manufacture more substance, shall employ those who have not to do their bidding, and shall pay them what they think such labor is worth. But they shall not impart unto they who have less than they need from out of their great store, but will enslave them because of their lack of substance, and through their need to make a living.

6. Yea, as difficult as it may seem for any who now lives among the Nemenhah, a time will come in this fair place when the poor shall be in bondage to the rich for their very subsistence, and the rich will feel perfectly justified in such a state of affairs, yea, and even extol the virtues of such a system.

7. Do not be confused. Their wise men shall stand up and teach them and instruct them in the importance of rising above such bondage, and they will suggest many means by which they may do it. But none of their suggestions will have any resemblance to the manner in which the Nemenhah do live the Law of Consecration.

8. For, they shall teach the poor that they must wear out their lives in serving they who have more than themselves and, setting aside their surplus each year, they will eventually rise out of their poverty and bondage and be free to enter in among the ranks of the rich and have what they have. This they will present as a means by which they may arise out of their state of want and have what they need for more than mere subsistence.

9. Hearken to my words, ye Nemenhah. For the day comes when even the Shepherds of Israel shall teach this for doctrine from raised platforms before the face of the people. Yea, even they who lay claim to the keys of the priesthood of God shall stand up and teach this false doctrine in the hearing of all people as a means, and really the only means, whereby a poor man may rise out of his poverty. Yea, in this way the very leaders of the people shall teach and support the doctrine that brought upon the Nephites their great destruction.

10. And what, I ask you, marks the great difference between the people of the Land Southward today and their grandfathers before the coming of the Lord? It is the manner in which they observe to keep His commandments. And do they own each man his property and withhold it from those who are in need? I say unto you, They do not. But they do give freely one to another and there is no want or poverty found in their midst.

11. Look you to the manner in which the Nemenhah do conduct their business today. When the fishers go out on the great lake to catch fish, do they retain all the catch and sell it for money? They do not, but take unto themselves what they need or desire for the use of their own family and bring the surplus into the marketplace and the people take of the catch freely.

12. And when the potter makes his wares, does he retain all in order that he might sell it and take the spoil thereof? He does not. He takes for his own needs and the needs of his family. The remainder he brings into the marketplace and the people take of it according to their needs. And, if it so be that one potter cannot produce enough for all to have pots, then he does train up another to work with him. And in this way are the needs of all the community provided for.

13. Now, when one region contains a product that cannot be had in another, the communities in that area do produce the product for they who cannot, and they exchange that product for something they cannot produce. In this way do the communities of the Nemenhah sustain and support each other in the same manner in which individuals sustain and support their neighbors.

14. And behold, I look forward in your generations and I see men and women joining their substance together in order to purchase property and gain the ownership of the land, and all it produces, unto themselves. For, such is the state and degree of Babylon in their days. But I see great hardship in this system. For, they do begin to dispute the worthiness of their neighbors to live in such a system and to enjoy the community ownership.

15. The earth is the Lord's. Yea, it is His footstool. Can you or I own any of it? Can the people of Mentinah, this great city, own the land and all the blessings the Lord does proffer because of it? I say unto you, Nay. In all this we may become stewards only of that which is rightfully the Lord‟s property. As stewards, we have a responsibility to provide for the needs of as many of our neighbors as our stewardship will support, in addition to our own needs. This is our surplus, and our great blessing of the Lord. We labor according to our strength and our ability to provide for ourselves. And we also labor for more that we might have wherewith to share with our neighbors who might need. This surplus is also the gift of God and part of our stewardship. In this, we take good advantage of all wherewith the Lord does prosper us, not wishing to dishonor the Lord in His great desire to provide for all that we need.

16. And this great desire to prosper us in all things is reflected even in the ordinances of the High Place. For, the Lord does ask us all to receive the Law of Consecration by covenant. And what is this law? It is that each of you covenant to dedicate all with which the Lord has blessed you, all with which He does now bless you, and even all with which He has promised that He will yet bless you, to the building up of Zion.

17. Does this mean that we must wear out our lives in laboring to build our homes, our workshops and our orchards and our fields and our flocks, only to give them into the hands of another? It does not. The Lord asks us to dedicate our substance, even all that wherewith He has prospered us. Yea, and He asks us to take up the task of being the steward of all these things. And, if we have the Spirit of God in us, then we will be instructed of the Holy Ghost in the proper way in which to dispense the blessings we have received of the Lord."

From the Book of the Generations of Minisourit, Chapter Nine by Penitlensit, son of Tleseum, the son of Tleseancum, the son of Pensorit, the son of Piensihit, the son of Heinsit, son of Tsoolewit, the son of Tsoohoolsit, son of Genesert, the son of Mipahnet, the daughter of Teansicumset Akekt, the son of Momet Akekt, the son of Memish Akekt, son of Waylhimnotkits and his mother Pahnah Tahnich, daughter of Chichtenah and Ponet Akekt, son of Ichi-nuicl and Pene Im Akekt, son of Weeskit, son of Piahomet Akekt, son of Paniet Akekt and Shi Honayah, son of Moroni called Mor Honayah, son of Mormon called Mor Monayah, son of Mormon called Mor Monayah and Pa-Hinent who was daughter of Pa-Hanat, son of Shimlei, son of Manti, son of Ouguo, son of Sahnempet, son of Hagmeni, son of Hagoth.  Penitlensit was High Priest of Imlosagitl located west of the Mississipi River in a place where the low mountains formed a near circle called Ohotsorakhim, which sounds like the Osarks, and prophecied of the last days when the times of the Gentiles shall be fulfilled when money shall have lost all its worth, then at that time the descendants of the Nemenhah shall establish Zion again in the land using no money to prepare for the Second Coming of the Lord:

"6. Yea, I have seen what shall befall my own descendents at the hand of the Gentiles. And I have seen how that the people shall suffer and perish. But behold, they shall not be utterly destroyed, and because they shall not be utterly destroyed, the Lord shall preserve that part of their customs that shall set them apart from all the world. And even He shall raise up seers who will take of these records which we leave in sacred places and they will translate them by His peculiar power into their own tongues. Then shall He teach the Gentiles a mighty thing indeed.

7. And some of them shall take heed to His word and they will learn a new and better way, casting away their lust for riches and looking only to that which they need. But this shall not come without a true trying of their faith. Yea, in the day that they cease to hide up their treasures against the day of need, but use them abundantly to the good of many, then shall He graft them into the vine and they shall be one with Lehi. Then are the times of the Gentiles fulfilled.

8. But behold, they who are grafted in shall not be many. For the whole world shall lust after riches and the hearts of men and women shall not be upon the good gifts of Heaven, but they shall seek every day to get more gain than the previous. And with each day's passing, they shall hide up more of their precious things, that they might be esteemed rich by their neighbor.

9. But a time shall come when they shall go even unto the place wherein they have hid up their wealth, to withdraw it from its hiding place, but behold, it shall not be found. Yea, it shall be taken from them. Or, if it is not taken, it shall have lost its worth and shall not buy bread. And this disaster shall come upon all people at once. Yea, and so great will the disaster be that whole peoples shall run headlong before it and shall not be found in their place.

10. And even shall all nations be at the ready to tumble and fall to pieces, and the governors and the rulers shall all shake their heads and wonder. Yea, and the money lenders shall all flee, for there shall be no interest in anything. And the merchant shall sit idly by, for there shall be no buying of his wares. And the artificer shall set down his tools, for there shall be no profit in his hire. Yea, and the mother shall have not that which might sustain her children, for her man shall have no means to support her, though she have right claim upon him for her support.

11. You may believe it! And this shall be a sign unto you that the time of refreshing shall be at hand, yea, even it shall be at the door."  (The Book of the Generations of Minisourit - Penitlensit, Chapter Nine, verses 6-11)

A sign of the time for the bringing forth of Zion in the Last Days was given by their prophets:

60.  "Yea, this shall be a sign unto your descendents: The sun shall burn the stalk and many will leave the places of their inheritance because of the change in the seasons. And they shall flood into the cities of the Gentiles to find refuge. But the cities shall have no means to support them and will need to rely more and more upon a very few to produce provender for the throng. And great portions of the nation shall lay empty because the Gentiles shall have used up the good of the earth, to the end that, their collapse as a nation shall be as the collapse which you have witnessed in the Land of Hagoth. And even you have seen such a collapse in your own time in the Valley of Menintah.
61. When all this shall repeat again in this land, the Lord shall bring out of darkness your records and your writings, and behold, the Remnant will take them up and shall use them as their standard. And they shall remove themselves from the rabble and set themselves alone in the wilderness. And they shall build up Zion in their hearts and establish Zion in the land. And all the world shall carry on around them devouring the good of that upon which they rely. Then shall Babylon fall and the Gentiles shall be left with their heaps of gold, but all their gold shall have no value over a loaf or a fish.
62. Yea, then shall the Gentiles remember that their prophets did prophesy of these very things, but their remembrance shall avail them nothing. Yea, they shall cite the scriptures and their writings, that their prophets warned them and they shall wonder how they might have been so deceived when the truth and the warning were given so plainly. But they shall not have Zion in their hearts. Wherefore, they shall wonder at their folly and not understand it.
63. But because of your records, Nemenhah, the Remnant shall establish themselves in the waste places and they shall have nothing which the world esteems as worthy. But they shall also not be brought to collapse with the rest of the world, for their riches shall not be in the stuff of the world but in that which is truly of value unto the Lord. And their reliance shall not be upon the world, but they shall each produce according to their needs and yet a little more to provide for the beggar. And this shall set them in good stead in comparison to the Gentiles who shall run to and fro with their wealth in their hands and shall not be able to buy a morsel with it.
"  (Chapter 14, The Book of Shi Honayah Akektim (son of Moroni), verses 60-63)

The Lord Jesus Christ revealed to the prophet Joseph Smith how to establish Zion,

Doctrine and Covenants 44

6 "Behold, I say unto you, that ye must visit the poor and the needy and administer to their relief, that they may be kept until all things may be done according to my law which ye have received. Amen."

Doctrine and Covenants 49

24 "But before the great day of the Lord shall come, Jacob shall flourish in the wilderness, and the Lamanites shall blossom as the rose.

25 Zion shall flourish upon the hills and rejoice upon the mountains, and shall be assembled together unto the place which I have appointed."

Doctrine and Covenants 51

1 "Hearken unto me, saith the Lord your God, and I will speak unto my servant (Bishop) Edward Partridge, and give unto him directions; for it must needs be that he receive directions how to organize this people.

2 For it must needs be that they be organized according to my laws; if otherwise, they will be cut off.

3 Wherefore, let my servant Edward Partridge, and those whom he has chosen, in whom I am well pleased, appoint unto this people their portions, every man equal according to his family, according to his circumstances and his wants and needs.

4 And let my servant Edward Partridge, when he shall appoint a man his portion, give unto him a writing that shall secure unto him his portion, that he shall hold it, even this right and this inheritance in the church, until he transgresses and is not accounted worthy by the voice of the church, according to the laws and covenants of the church, to belong to the church.

5 And if he shall transgress and is not accounted worthy to belong to the church, he shall not have power to claim that portion which he has consecrated unto the bishop for the poor and needy of my church; therefore, he shall not retain the gift, but shall only have claim on that portion that is deeded unto him."

9 "And let every man deal honestly, and be alike among this people, and receive alike, that ye may be one, even as I have commanded you."

13 "And again, let the bishop appoint a storehouse unto this church; and let all things both in money and in meat, which are more than is needful for the wants of this people, be kept in the hands of the bishop.

14 And let him also reserve unto himself for his own wants, and for the wants of his family, as he shall be employed in doing this business."

18 "Behold, this shall be an example unto my servant Edward Partridge, in other places, in all churches.

19 And whoso is found a faithful, a just, and a wise steward shall enter into the joy of his Lord, and shall inherit eternal life."

Doctrine and Covenants 56

16 "Wo unto you rich men, that will not give your substance to the poor, for your riches will canker your souls; and this shall be your lamentation in the day of visitation, and of judgment, and of indignation: The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and my soul is not saved!

17 Wo unto you poor men, whose hearts are not broken, whose spirits are not contrite, and whose bellies are not satisfied, and whose hands are not stayed from laying hold upon other men’s goods, whose eyes are full of greediness, and who will not labor with your own hands!

18 But blessed are the poor who are pure in heart, whose hearts are broken, and whose spirits are contrite, for they shall see the kingdom of God coming in power and great glory unto their deliverance; for the fatness of the earth shall be theirs."

Doctrine and Covenants 64

23 "Behold, now it is called today until the coming of the Son of Man, and verily it is a day of sacrifice, and a day for the tithing of my people; for he that is tithed shall not be burned at his coming.

24 For after today cometh the burning—this is speaking after the manner of the Lord—for verily I say, tomorrow all the proud and they that do wickedly shall be as stubble; and I will burn them up, for I am the Lord of Hosts; and I will not spare any that remain in Babylon."

27 "Behold, it is said in my laws, or forbidden, to get in debt to thine enemies;"

33 "Wherefore, be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work. And out of small things proceedeth that which is great.

34 Behold, the Lord requireth the heart and a willing mind; and the willing and obedient shall eat the good of the land of Zion in these last days.

35 And the rebellious shall be cut off out of the land of Zion, and shall be sent away, and shall not inherit the land."

41 "For, behold, I say unto you that Zion shall flourish, and the glory of the Lord shall be upon her;

42 And she shall be an ensign unto the people, and there shall come unto her out of every nation under heaven."

Doctrine and Covenants 68

14 "There remain hereafter, in the due time of the Lord, other bishops to be set apart unto the church, to minister even according to the first;

15 Wherefore they shall be high priests who are worthy, and they shall be appointed by the First Presidency of the Melchizedek Priesthood, except they be literal descendants of Aaron.

16 And if they be literal descendants of Aaron they have a legal right to the bishopric, if they are the firstborn among the sons of Aaron;

17 For the firstborn holds the right of the presidency over this priesthood, and the keys or authority of the same.

18 No man has a legal right to this office, to hold the keys of this priesthood, except he be a literal descendant and the firstborn of Aaron.

19 But, as a high priest of the Melchizedek Priesthood has authority to officiate in all the lesser offices he may officiate in the office of bishop when no literal descendant of Aaron can be found, provided he is called and set apart and ordained unto this power, under the hands of the First Presidency of the Melchizedek Priesthood.

20 And a literal descendant of Aaron, also, must be designated by this Presidency, and found worthy, and anointed, and ordained under the hands of this Presidency, otherwise they are not legally authorized to officiate in their priesthood.

21 But, by virtue of the decree concerning their right of the priesthood descending from father to son, they may claim their anointing if at any time they can prove their lineage, or do ascertain it by revelation from the Lord under the hands of the above named Presidency.

22 And again, no bishop or high priest who shall be set apart for this ministry shall be tried or condemned for any crime, save it be before the First Presidency of the church;

23 And inasmuch as he is found guilty before this Presidency, by testimony that cannot be impeached, he shall be condemned;

24 And if he repent he shall be forgiven, according to the covenants and commandments of the church.

25 And again, inasmuch as parents have children in Zion, or in any of her stakes which are organized, that teach them not to understand the doctrine of repentance, faith in Christ the Son of the living God, and of baptism and the gift of the Holy Ghost by the laying on of the hands, when eight years old, the sin be upon the heads of the parents.

26 For this shall be a law unto the inhabitants of Zion, or in any of her stakes which are organized.

27 And their children shall be baptized for the remission of their sins when eight years old, and receive the laying on of the hands.

28 And they shall also teach their children to pray, and to walk uprightly before the Lord.

29 And the inhabitants of Zion shall also observe the Sabbath day to keep it holy.

30 And the inhabitants of Zion also shall remember their labors, inasmuch as they are appointed to labor, in all faithfulness; for the idler shall be had in remembrance before the Lord."

Doctrine and Covenants 69

5 "And also, my servants who are abroad in the earth should send forth the accounts of their stewardships to the land of Zion;

6 For the land of Zion shall be a seat and a place to receive and do all these things."

Doctrine and Covenants 70

4 "And an account of this stewardship will I require of them in the day of judgment."

7 "Nevertheless, inasmuch as they receive more than is needful for their necessities and their wants, it shall be given into my storehouse;

8 And the benefits shall be consecrated unto the inhabitants of Zion, and unto their generations, inasmuch as they become heirs according to the laws of the kingdom.

9 Behold, this is what the Lord requires of every man in his stewardship, even as I, the Lord, have appointed or shall hereafter appoint unto any man.

10 And behold, none are exempt from this law who belong to the church of the living God;"

14 "Nevertheless, in your temporal things you shall be equal, and this not grudgingly, otherwise the abundance of the manifestations of the Spirit shall be withheld."

Doctrine and Covenants 72

3 "And verily in this thing ye have done wisely, for it is required of the Lord, at the hand of every steward, to render an account of his stewardship, both in time and in eternity.

4 For he who is faithful and wise in time is accounted worthy to inherit the mansions prepared for him of my Father.

5 Verily I say unto you, the elders of the church in this part of my vineyard shall render an account of their stewardship unto the bishop, who shall be appointed of me in this part of my vineyard.

6 These things shall be had on record, to be handed over unto the bishop in Zion."

9 "The word of the Lord, in addition to the law which has been given, making known the duty of the bishop who has been ordained unto the church in this part of the vineyard, which is verily this—

10 To keep the Lord’s storehouse; to receive the funds of the church in this part of the vineyard;

11 To take an account of the elders as before has been commanded; and to administer to their wants, who shall pay for that which they receive, inasmuch as they have wherewith to pay;

12 That this also may be consecrated to the good of the church, to the poor and needy."

15 "Thus it cometh out of the church, for according to the law every man that cometh up to Zion must lay all things before the bishop in Zion.

16 And now, verily I say unto you, that as every elder in this part of the vineyard must give an account of his stewardship unto the bishop in this part of the vineyard—

17 A certificate from the judge or bishop in this part of the vineyard, unto the bishop in Zion, rendereth every man acceptable, and answereth all things, for an inheritance, and to be received as a wise steward and as a faithful laborer;

18 Otherwise he shall not be accepted of the bishop of Zion."

Doctrine and Covenants 75

16 "And he who is faithful shall overcome all things, and shall be lifted up at the last day."

28 "And again, verily I say unto you, that every man who is obliged to provide for his own family, let him provide, and he shall in nowise lose his crown; and let him labor in the church.

29 Let every man be diligent in all things. And the idler shall not have place in the church, except he repent and mend his ways."

Doctrine and Covenants 78

3 "For verily I say unto you, the time has come, and is now at hand; and behold, and lo, it must needs be that there be an organization of my people, in regulating and establishing the affairs of the storehouse for the poor of my people, both in this place and in the land of Zion—

4 For a permanent and everlasting establishment and order unto my church, to advance the cause, which ye have espoused, to the salvation of man, and to the glory of your Father who is in heaven;

5 That you may be equal in the bonds of heavenly things, yea, and earthly things also, for the obtaining of heavenly things.

6 For if ye are not equal in earthly things ye cannot be equal in obtaining heavenly things;

7 For if you will that I give unto you a place in the celestial world, you must prepare yourselves by doing the things which I have commanded you and required of you.

8 And now, verily thus saith the Lord, it is expedient that all things be done unto my glory, by you who are joined together in this order;"

19 "And he who receiveth all things with thankfulness shall be made glorious; and the things of this earth shall be added unto him, even an hundred fold, yea, more."

21 "For ye are the church of the Firstborn, and he will take you up in a cloud, and appoint every man his portion.

22 And he that is a faithful and wise steward shall inherit all things. Amen."

Doctrine and Covenants 81

2 "Unto whom I have given the keys of the kingdom, which belong always unto the Presidency of the High Priesthood:"

Doctrine and Covenants 82

10 "I, the Lord, am bound when ye do what I say; but when ye do not what I say, ye have no promise."

14 "For Zion must increase in beauty, and in holiness; her borders must be enlarged; her stakes must be strengthened; yea, verily I say unto you, Zion must arise and put on her beautiful garments."

17 "And you are to be equal, or in other words, you are to have equal claims on the properties, for the benefit of managing the concerns of your stewardships, every man according to his wants and his needs, inasmuch as his wants are just—

18 And all this for the benefit of the church of the living God, that every man may improve upon his talent, that every man may gain other talents, yea, even an hundred fold, to be cast into the Lord’s storehouse, to become the common property of the whole church—

19 Every man seeking the interest of his neighbor, and doing all things with an eye single to the glory of God.

20 This order I have appointed to be an everlasting order unto you, and unto your successors, inasmuch as you sin not."

Doctrine and Covenants 83

2 "Women have claim on their husbands for their maintenance, until their husbands are taken; and if they are not found transgressors they shall have fellowship in the church.

3 And if they are not faithful they shall not have fellowship in the church; yet they may remain upon their inheritances according to the laws of the land.

4 All children have claim upon their parents for their maintenance until they are of age.

5 And after that, they have claim upon the church, or in other words upon the Lord’s storehouse, if their parents have not wherewith to give them inheritances.

6 And the storehouse shall be kept by the consecrations of the church; and widows and orphans shall be provided for, as also the poor. Amen."

Doctrine and Covenants 84

109 "Therefore, let every man stand in his own office, and labor in his own calling; and let not the head say unto the feet it hath no need of the feet; for without the feet how shall the body be able to stand?

110 Also the body hath need of every member, that all may be edified together, that the system may be kept perfect.

111 And behold, the high priests should travel, and also the elders, and also the lesser priests; but the deacons and teachers should be appointed to watch over the church, to be standing ministers unto the church.

112 And the bishop, Newel K. Whitney, also should travel round about and among all the churches, searching after the poor to administer to their wants by humbling the rich and the proud.

113 He should also employ an agent to take charge and to do his secular business as he shall direct."

Doctrine and Covenants 85

1 "It is the duty of the Lord’s clerk, whom he has appointed, to keep a history, and a general church record of all things that transpire in Zion, and of all those who consecrate properties, and receive inheritances legally from the bishop;

2 And also their manner of life, their faith, and works; and also of the apostates who apostatize after receiving their inheritances.

3 It is contrary to the will and commandment of God that those who receive not their inheritance by consecration, agreeable to his law, which he has given, that he may tithe his people, to prepare them against the day of vengeance and burning, should have their names enrolled with the people of God.

4 Neither is their genealogy to be kept, or to be had where it may be found on any of the records or history of the church."

Doctrine and Covenants 85

7 "And it shall come to pass that I, the Lord God, will send one mighty and strong, holding the scepter of power in his hand, clothed with light for a covering, whose mouth shall utter words, eternal words; while his bowels shall be a fountain of truth, to set in order the house of God, and to arrange by lot the inheritances of the saints whose names are found, and the names of their fathers, and of their children, enrolled in the book of the law of God;

8 While that man, who was called of God and appointed, that putteth forth his hand to steady the ark of God, shall fall by the shaft of death, like as a tree that is smitten by the vivid shaft of lightning.

9 And all they who are not found written in the book of remembrance shall find none inheritance in that day, but they shall be cut asunder, and their portion shall be appointed them among unbelievers, where are wailing and gnashing of teeth."

Doctrine and Covenants 86

8 "Therefore, thus saith the Lord unto you, with whom the priesthood hath continued through the lineage of your fathers—

9 For ye are lawful heirs, according to the flesh, and have been hid from the world with Christ in God—

10 Therefore your life and the priesthood have remained, and must needs remain through you and your lineage until the restoration of all things spoken by the mouths of all the holy prophets since the world began.

11 Therefore, blessed are ye if ye continue in my goodness, a light unto the Gentiles, and through this priesthood, a savior unto my people Israel. The Lord hath said it. Amen."

Doctrine and Covenants 87

8 "Wherefore, stand ye in holy places, and be not moved, until the day of the Lord come; for behold, it cometh quickly, saith the Lord. Amen."

Doctrine and Covenants 88

17 "And the redemption of the soul is through him that quickeneth all things, in whose bosom it is decreed that the poor and the meek of the earth shall inherit it.

18 Therefore, it must needs be sanctified from all unrighteousness, that it may be prepared for the celestial glory;"

68 "Therefore, sanctify yourselves that your minds become single to God, and the days will come that you shall see him; for he will unveil his face unto you, and it shall be in his own time, and in his own way, and according to his own will."

95 "And there shall be silence in heaven for the space of half an hour; and immediately after shall the curtain of heaven be unfolded, as a scroll is unfolded after it is rolled up, and the face of the Lord shall be unveiled;

96 And the saints that are upon the earth, who are alive, shall be quickened and be caught up to meet him.

97 And they who have slept in their graves shall come forth, for their graves shall be opened; and they also shall be caught up to meet him in the midst of the pillar of heaven—

98 They are Christ’s, the first fruits, they who shall descend with him first, and they who are on the earth and in their graves, who are first caught up to meet him; and all this by the voice of the sounding of the trump of the angel of God."

Last year, I learned about the Sacred Records of the Nemenhah, the sacred historical records of the North American Indians and how they established Zion among themselves for over 1,500 years.  The North American Indians, The Nemenhah, were all members of the Church of Jesus Christ.  The history of the Nemenhah is a very good example of how a people were able to establish Zion, and they had no poor among them.  So we can now see how a people of the Lord were able to establish Zion from their records.  The Nemenhah prophets also prophecied that in the last days, six generations from the restoration generation that their descendants would again establish Zion in America.

The Sacred records of the Nemenhah began about 60 B.C. when many of the members of the Church of Jesus Christ among the Nephites, as related in the Book of Mormon, decided to migrate into the Land Northward where they could build Zion and live the Law of Consecration and Stewardship as God had revealed it to them and become one people of one heart and mind with all things in Common with no poor among them.  At that time, Hagoth, the son of Hagmeni decided to build some ships patterned after the ship that Nephi and his brothers built when they immigrated from Jerusalem to America in 600 B.C.  Hagmeni had been the right-hand man of Captain Moroni in the wars between the Nephites and Lamanites that lasted for many years.  Hagmeni helped Moroni fortify all their cities with timbers, embankments and moats.  Hagoth, his son, thus learned the art of working the timbers and with this knowledge decided to build some ships so that those that wanted could migrate into the Land Northward from the land of Zarahemla and found a society that would have peace.

With Hagoth's ships, there were three groups that migrated into the Land Northward starting in 60 B.C.  See Alma Chapter 63 in the Book of Mormon.  It was in the 37th year of the reign of the judges over the people of Nephi.  Shiblon, the son of Alma the Younger, was the prophet in charge of the records of the Nephites.  Hagoth took some Nephites and some Ammonites in his ships and travelled up the west coast of what today is Mexico to where the Colorado River empties into the Gulf of California.  There Hagoth took apart one of his ships and built canoes and with twelve Nephite families and twelve Ammonite families rowed up the Colorado River, which they called the River Akish (which means Red River) to where the river bends toward the north near Denver, Colorado.  There they built the City of Hagoth.  Later the Gadiantonhem followed them and denuded the forests floating the logs down to the gulf of California where they would ship them down to the land of Zarahemla.  The Nemenhah didn't like living with Gadiantonhem people, so the Nemenhah split up.  Half of the families went to live on the plains to hunt and live with the buffalo herds, and half of the families went with Hagoth to live in the mountains of what today is Utah.  Hagoth's people settled and built the City of Mentinah, where the City of Manti exists today.  As they did so, they determined to build a Zion society living the Law of Consecration and Stewardships.

Hagoth's people decided to call themselves the Nemenhah, which means, the People.  Since half of the families were of Lamanite descent, the Ammonites, and half of them were of Nephite descent, they didn't want to be called Lamanites or Nephites or Ammonites, or any kind of "ites," so they called themselves Nemenhah, the People.  This is why the Navajo Indians today call themselves, the Diné, which means, "the People," in the Navajo language.  The Cheyenne Indians of southeastern Wyoming and Oklahoma call themselves "Tsitsistas" which also means "people." The Cheyenne originally lived between the Mississippi River and Mille Lacs Lake in Minnesota.  Their language is one of the larger Algonquian-language group.  They are an Indigenous people of the Great Plains, who over the last 400 years changed their lifestyles from Great Lakes woodlands to Northern Plains.

The Nemenhah believed that all the wars that the Nephites and Lamanites had as described in the Book of Mormon was because they used money.  And as the scriptures say, that the love of money is the root of all evil (1 Timothy 6:10), the Nemenhah observed that the Nephites would become rich and despise the poor.  The poor would then gather with the Lamanites and come to war with the Nephites.  But the rich of the Nephites would not send their own sons to fight in the wars, but would send the poor and the middle class Nephites to fight.  The rich Nephites would then finance both sides of the war to get even richer.  To stop being caught up in endless wars, the Nemenhah decided to live without money and migrate into the Land Northward that was, at that time, devoid of inhabitants.

The Land Northward consisted of all lands north of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec in what today is southern Mexico, and the Land Southward consisted of all lands south of the Isthmus.  This Isthmus was called Desolation by the previous inhabitants, the Jaredites, who migrated to America from the Tower of Babel and lived only in the Land Northward.  The Jaredites called the Isthmus Desolation because that was where poisonous snakes abounded so much that the Jaredites did not live south of the Isthmus, but reserved the land Southward of the Isthmus for hunting.  (See Ether 9:30-35, also Ether 10:19-21)  The land immediately south of the Isthmus was called by the Nephites, the Land of Zarahemla.

From the history in The Book of Mormon, my estimate of where the family of Lehi landed in America when they migrated from the land of Jerusalem in 600 B.C. to America in the ship that Nephi and his brothers built was in El Salvador.  There, they split into two groups, the Nephites and the Lamanites.  The Lord cursed the Lamanites with a dark skin for rejecting Nephi as their prophet and leader of the church of Christ, so that Nephite members of the church would not want to marry the Lamanites unless they became converted to the gospel of Christ.  The Nephites migrated up into the mountains of Guatemala.  Their capital city was the City of Nephi where the City of Guatemala exists today.  About 350 years later, the Nephites migrated again down into the jungles toward the north where they joined the Mulekites in the City of Zarahemla, in what today is the Mexican State of Chiapas.  On the evacuaton of the Nephites, the Lamanites took over the City of Nephi area of the country.  The Mulekites were Jews that migrated to America at the time that Babylon captured Jerusalem and took the Jews captive to Babylon which today is Iraq.  Simeon, the High Priest of the temple at Jerusalem took the youngest son of King Zedekiah, Mulek and some Jewish families and migrated to America in one of King Solomon's ships.  The Mulekites landed in what today is Veracruz and then migrated south to what today is Chiapas, Mexico and built their city of Zarahemla on the west side of a river they called Sidon that flowed north into the great gulf that divides the Land Northward from the Land Southward, the gulf we today call the Gulf of America plus the Gulf of Mexico.

At that time, there were two lands northward from the Land of Zarahemla spoken of in the Book of Mormon.  One of the lands northward was toward the Yucatan peninsula where the Nephites founded the City of Bountiful.  The other land northward from Zarahemla was towards what is now central Mexico.  Eventually, the Nephites were pushed by the Lamanites into the Land Northward towards central Mexico and the boundary between the Land Northward and the Land Southward became the Isthmus of Tehuantepec which was called Desolation by the previous inhabitants, the Jaredites, who had migrated to America from the Tower of Babel and had destroyed themselves in a civil war at about the time the family of Lehi and the Mulekites arrived in America.

Starting in about 60 B.C., the Nephites began migrating into the Land Northward just north of the Isthmus into what is today central Mexico.  The Jaredites had destroyed most of the timber in central Mexico and so the Nephites built their homes with cement.  The Lamanites then took over the Land of Bountiful and Zarahemla, just as they had previously taken over the original City of Nephi in what today is Guatemala.

The Nemenhah lands eventually covered all of what today is the United States, Canada and the Islands of the Pacific.  The Nemenhah of the Pacific began when Hagoth's son took a ship of people up the western coast but got blown out to sea and ended up on the islands of the Pacific.  The Nemenhah of Canada began with Corianton, son of Alma the Younger after Alma and his sons' mission to the Zoramites and Lamanites, as related in the Book of Mormon.  The Nemenhah records reveal that Corianton converted the Lamanite Harlot Isabel on his mission, and after his mission, he married her.  Corianton and Isabel then migrated in one of Hagoth's ships built on the Gulf of Mexico side of the Isthmus into what today is north-eastern Canada and founded the City of Corianton on the eastern shores of Hudson Bay, Canada.

Since the Nemenhah rejected an economy based on money like the Nephites had which led to all their wars, the economic system the Nemenhah created was based on the Law of Consecration and Stewardships without money.  The Nemenhah created Zion.  They built a temple in Mentinah and all the people covenanted in the temple to live the Law of Consecration.  Their government was set up without judges as the Nephites had or kings as the Lamanites had.  Instead, they recognized that the basis of their society was their wives and mothers who were less apt to send their sons into any war.  The council of mothers in every village would gather and nominate those that were to sit on the village council having thirteen members.  Then by the Law of Common Consent, the people would vote to accept those nominated by the mother's council.  Nephi, the son of Helaman, the son of Helaman, the son of Alma the Younger called the Chief High Priest (Hagmeni, the son of Hagoth) of the Nemenhah when he visited them.  Hagmeni then called a High Priest of each village.  The High Priests of the villages sat on the High Priest Council.  Hagmeni then nominated one High Priest from the High Priest Council to preside over each region.  The Regional High Priests from each region sat on the national great council of High Priests with the presiding Chief High Priest of the great council of High Priests, which was Hagmeni.  (See Book of Ougou, verses 9-12) The village High Priest sat on the village council but had no vote in the council, but was given the position of "talking feather," the leader of the council.  The High Priest also had charge of the village storehouse, their temple and synagogue worship who together with the village priesthood council, called the "Peli," or "Priests" led the people in the worship of Heavenly Father, Heavenly Mother, whom they called "the Elohim," Jesus Christ whom they called "the Peacemaker" and the Holy Ghost.

Hagoth was a descendant Manasseh through Nephi and also a descendant of Levi through his Mulekite ancestry and so held the Aaronic Priesthood by being a descentant of Aaron.  The Nemenhah also received the Melchizedek Priesthood when Nephi, the son of Helaman, the son of Helaman, the son of Alma the Younger came to visit them from the Land of Zarahemla.  Nephi eventually lived and died among the Nemenhah.  So their High Priests were Melchizedek priesthood holders.  At times, women were also called and set apart as High Priests of the villages although they were not ordained to the Priesthood.  The Nemenhah believed that women inherited their ability to rule and bless the people from their Heavenly Mother.  So only men were ordained to the Priesthood so they could rule and bless the people like their wives naturally do.  The Village High Priest was a very important position.  The Village High Priest led the village Civil Council and the Village temple worship and also led the Village Priesthood Council that managed their synagoge worship. The Village High Priest was in charge of the Village Storehouse that managed the consecrations of the people.  His position would be similar to what today is a Stake President and the Village Priesthood Council would be similar to what today is the High Council and the Bishops of the Wards in the Stake.

Stewardships were assigned by each member of the village meeting individually with the Village Council where they were helped to choose a stewardship each according to his abilities and desires.  The Nemenhah considered that the Creator owned the Earth, so property was assigned according to the needs of the stewardships, and all who had responsibility of land were stewards of the land for the owner of the land who is the Lord Jesus Christ, which they always referred to as the "Peacemaker."

So say a new person came into town and wanted to become Nemenhah, he was taken to the temple where he covenanted to live the laws of the Nemenhah, which were the commandments of God.  He was baptized, confirmed with the Holy Ghost and given his Initiatory in the temple where he received the Melchizedek Priesthood and the garments of the Holy Priesthood.  He was then washed and anointed to become a Priest in the Kingdom of God in the hereafter and presented his Endowment of Power where he was dressed in the robes of the Holy Priesthood and covenanted with God to live the Law of Obedience and Sacrifice, the Law of the Gospel, the Law of Chastity and the Law of Consecration.  He then met with the Village Council and chose a Stewardship.  As he worked his Stewardship, whatever he made or produced above his needs and wants each week when he went to the Synagoge for Sabath worship and to partake of the Lord's Supper he would also consecrate his surplus production to the Lord which was then stored in the Village Storehouse for distribution to the poor and the needy and to help new stewardships to get started.  The village members would also gather, welcome him to their village and help him build his home, and whatever he needed to take care of his family and stewardship.  Any needed thing was provided from the Village Storehouse, all without the use of any money.  In their temples, husband and wife were also married, and in their home, the couple would seek the confirmation of their marriage for eternity by the holy spirit of promise.  Each individual also actively sought to go up upon the "Way" in fasting and meditation to seek the face of Jesus Christ to receive their Second Anointing in which their calling and election are made sure.  The Nemenhah were continually encouraged to seek the confirmation of the Holy Ghost in prayer to receive a knowledge of the truth of all things.

The Nemenhah were so successful in living the Law of Consecration and Stewardships in establishing their Zion that they had no poor among them for about 1,500 years.  They felt that they established Zion, where all were of one heart and mind, considering themselves all relatives.  With Zion, the Nemenhah had continual peace with no wars.  They actively taught any Gadiantonhem who came among them the gospel, and if they accepted the gospel of Jesus Christ they would then become Nemenhah.  If not, the Gadiantonhem would be executed.  The Gadiantonhem were considered to be robbers and thieves, who with their money continually attempted to take over the government and steal the wealth of the people.  While the Gandiantonhem were able to get the Nephite nation destroyed, they were not successful among the Nemenhah.  If any of the Gandianton people would not repent, they were executed.

The Nemenhah people would all attempt to live worthy to go to the temple often and do temple work for their deceased relatives.  They kept their records in a salt cavern that the Jaredites had kept their records in also, south of Mentinah.  In the year 2000 this Sacred Records of the Nemenhah was found and translated into English by their descendants, the principal among them being Chief Cloudpiler Landis, who with his cousins translated The Sacred Records of the Nemenhah and published them beginning in the year 2011, with continuing translations of all the years that the Nemenhah kept records up until the present time.

The Nemenhah had a tradition that whenever a village grew to more than 200 families, volunteers were selected and prepared to go establish another village until the whole of what today is the United States of America and Canada were filled with Nemenhah villages.  They became one people, the Nemenhah. Each village storehouse traded among the other village storehouses and the Nemenhah established Great Councils of the Nemenhah with representatives from all the villages throughout the land.  This included the Nemenhah of the Plains, the Nemenhah of the Mountains, the Nemenhah of Minisourit and the Nemenhah of Corianton in what today is Canada, as also the Nemenhah of the Pacific Islands.  The Nemenhah were one people, one great nation and governed themselves with High Priests, village councils, priesthood councils and Great Councils with two representatives from each principal city for the whole nation.  Each principal city had associated villages.  Decisions made by the councils were voted upon by all the people that the council represented in what they called the Common Consent of the people.  They had no candidates, no compaigns, no judges, no lawyers, and used no money.  All land was held in common with no private property ownership, but was instead worked as stewardships.  A city and its villages would organize stewardships according to specialties and would meet in what they called "Lodges" to organize, learn and work together.  A youth could be given a stewardship as an apprendice of an expert to learn a trade.

The Sacred Records of the Nemenhah give an account of sending missionaries into the Land Southward to call repentance to the cities of the Nephites and Lamanites before the coming of the Lord.  Among these missionaries was Samuel the Lamanite, the grandson of Corianton and Isabel from the Nemenhah of Corianton in what is today eastern Canada.  He visited the City of Mentihah on his way to Zarahemla in the Land Southward and taught them the same prophecies he gave to the Nephites of Zarahemla concerning the signs of the birth and death of Jesus.  The Records also record the events as they occurred at the birth of Christ and his death.  The signs given of his death were less severe than those witnessed by the Nephites in the Land Southward.  It also relates the visit of the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ to the Nephites and Lamanites in the City of Bountiful in the Land Southward in what today is the Yucatan, to the City of Mentinah, to the City of Corianton and to the Nemenhah of what today is called the Pacific Islands and taught them in their temples.  Jesus chose prophets and councils of twelve in each principal place.  The Nemenhah relate many visits of the three translated disciples of Jesus and their words to them with each visit.

When the Nephites began their war of extermination with the Lamanites, the Nemenhah nation sent Mormon from the Nemenhah City of Wit Chi Tim, which today is Wichita, Kansas to the Nephite Nation in what today is Mexico to check on the status of their wars with the Lamanites who had taken over the land of Zarahemla, the land of Bountiful and the land of Nephi.  Mormon, the son of Mormon was chosen by the Nephites to be their commander in chief of their wars.  It was Mormon, Jr. that compiled the history of the Nephites that today is the Book of Mormon, brought forth by the prophet Joseph Smith with the assistance of the Angel Moroni.  Mormon's son, Moroni, after his death and resurrection appeared as the Angel Moroni to the prophet Joseph Smith to translate and bring forth the Book of Mormon, the sacred record of the Nephites.  So our religion of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is based on the religion of the Nemenhah, the North American Indians because Mormon and Moroni were Nemenhah, descendants of Hagoth, Nephi and the Ammonites.  The Ammonites were Lamanites previous to their conversion to the gospel of Jesus Christ by the sons of King Mosiah, principal among them being Ammon.

Moroni, the son of Mormon, Jr. survived the Nephite war of extermination, and finished the record started by Mormon, which was a summary of the Nephite records kept on plates of gold.  Mormon died on the battlefield of their last battle on the Hill Cumorah, in the arms of his son Moroni.  The Hill Cumorah cavern archive had been established years earlier by Samuel, the Lamanite, who was the grandson of Corianton and Isabel.  After the war, Moroni and some few Nephite survivors travelled to Mentinah where Moroni was called to be the High Priest of Mentinah.  Moroni united the Nemenhah nation travelling with a council of twelve High Priests to each village helping them build temples in every village.  The Nemenhah didn't build their temples of stone as did the Nephites, but of wood.  When Moroni arrived in Mentinah he took up a stewardship of a saw mill and was also a metalurgist which science he had learned from his father.

Moroni was about 50 years of age at the end of the war, and lived to a ripe old age of 142.  Before he died, in the year 462 A.D., Moroni had found an abridged record of the Jaredites in the Mentinah cavern records archive and liked it so well in helping the Nephite warrior survivors overcome their thirst for blood that he journeyed back to the Hill Cumorah in what today is Palmyra, New York and added the Jaredite record that had been compiled by their last prophet Ether to the Book of Mormon gold plates that his father had written and that Moroni had hid up in a stone box on the Hill.  Moroni then added some few chapters of his own Book of Moroni to the record before hiding it up again in the stone box with the Urim and Thummim with the sword of Laban.

The Sacred Records of the Nemenhah describe how Moroni took twelve High Priests and journeyed to all the villages and cities of the Nemenhah teaching them and uniting the Nemenhah into one nation and encouraging them to build their own temples.  (Book of Shi Honayah Akektim (Moroni's son), Chapter Three, paragraphs 5 & 6)  The Nemenhah temples were built of wood having eight sides with beams from each of the eight corners meeting at the peak in the middle of the roof, and having one door on the east side of the building.  You can see these hogan temples all over the Navajo Nation where the men seat on the right and the women on the left facing the officiator of the temple ceremonies.

The Nemenhah record describes their land so well that it is easy to identify several of their cities and their counterparts today.  It describes the valley of San Pete County with the city of Mentinah which is today Manti with its lake in the southern part of the valley as well as the salt mines there where they established their cavern record archive which had also been the cavern record archive of the destroyed Jaredite nation described in the Book of Mormon record of Ether.  The City of Nespelham in a canyon north of Boise, Idaho along the Snake River is also described and became their capital city after the abandonment of City of Mentinah which had been taken over by a rogue High Priest named Tucantor that claimed he had the sole keys of the Priesthood after being visited by an angel who told him to deviate from the religion of the Nemenhah claiming he had the keys of the Priesthood and used it to exercise unjust dominion and reject the law of Common Consent.

Moroni rejected Tucantor as a prophet of God and the Nemenhah voted to stop sending their surplus consecrations to the storehouse of Mentinah because this rogue High Priest was using it to support his priestcraft.  Another city of the Nemenhah is described as being established on the shores of the great river that runs through the City of Polalekt, which is today Portland, Oregon.

In the eastern portion of the Nemenhah nation the City of Wit Chi Tim, today Wichita, Kansas is described as the home of Mormon's family and was situated on the southern boundary of the Nemenhah nation north of the great gulf, what today is the Gulf of America and Gulf of Mexico, that separates the Land Northward from the Land Southward with their boundary at the Isthmus which is today called the Isthmus of Tehuantepec which the Jaredites called the land of Desolation.

Zarahemla was mentioned often as the land from which their ancestors migrated, which was located just south of the Isthmus and the Great Gulf in what today is the Mexican state of Chiapas.  The Land of Bountiful was in the Yucatan peninsula, and it was on its west side north of Zarahemla where Hagoth built the ships in the Great Gulf that Corianton took to migrate into what today is northeastern Canada, east of the Hudson Bay.  Several cities north of Wit Chi Tim were cities like the City of Minisourit that was in what today is called Missouri, and the name of a city similar to Omaha, Nebraska, called Nemaha, and Winebag on the plains which today is called Winnebego, Canada.  Mention is also written about the Nemenhah of the northern regions where trees do not grow in the Arctic who mixed somewhat with the people of the west (the chinese) and live in the regions of ice and snow in the north, today known as the Eskimo people.

The Sacred Records of the Nemenhah have about 56 books so far in the translation including The Book of the High Place, which is what they called their temple.  Included in the records is their temple ceremonies, including the endowment ceremony with eight appendices explaining all the temple ordinances.  Unlike today where the members of Christ's church are in the minority of the people in the land, in the days of the Nemenhah nation, all the people were members of Christ's church.  The Nemenhah were expected to teach their children all about the temple and get ready to go there as soon as they were old enough to make their covenants with God.

The Nemenhah had prophets of God and were visited often by the three translated disciples of Jesus.  The Nemenhah knew their names and recorded their teachings in their records.  In the Nemenhah records we learn that the three translated Nephite disciples were Nephi, Lehi (who also had another name that he was known by: Mathoni) and Timothy who were sons of Nephi, who was the son of Helaman, who was the son of Helaman, who was the son of Alma the Younger.  The Nemenhah records tell us that the three translated Nephite disciples of Jesus formed a quorum with John the Beloved as their head.  They had the world divided up among them with their areas of ministry.  Lehi's area of ministry is the land masses of the Earth east of Jerusalem.  Nephi's area of ministry is the land masses west of Jerusalem except America.  Timothy's area of ministry is the American continent.  Joseph Smith is quoted as saying that John the Beloved disciple of Jesus is among the lost tribes of Israel preparing them for their return.  From my own research that area would be the inner surface of our hollow earth where I believe the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel dwell.

To me, proof that the Sacred Records of the Nemenhah are true history is when I found in The Book of Momet Akekt an astounding discovery of some of my own genealogy.  Momet Akekt was a descendant of Moroni, the last prophet of the Book of Mormon record.  Momet Akekt's family had migrated from Mentinah when that city became desolate because of the repercussions of the actions of the priestcraft of Tucantor, High Priest of Mentinah.  The descendants of Moroni migrated into the east of what today is the United States of America, and settled west of the River Misisip, in what today is Missouri, which is west of the Mississipi River.  Momet Akekt was called to be High Priest of Minisourit.  A Great Council of Minisourit was called because it was too far for delegates to go up to a Great Council of Nespelhem where the capital city of the Nemenhah was moved to from Mentinah.

To this Great Council of Minisourit came two visitors, the translated disciples of Jesus, Nephi and Lehi.  They had just crossed the Atlantic ocean from Europe where they had been ministering and brought with them a letter with a genealogy of the royalty of Europe.  The letter was from Batildah, the wife of Clovis, son of Dagobert, king of Austrasia in southern France.  I immediately recognized a few of these people and places in my own genealogy which I had done several years ago in which I traced a line of my genealogy back to Adam using a link my sister Rebecca Dorn helped me find in the book of Michel L. Call of Salt Lake City, the Royal Ancestors of some L.D.S. Families, which I also confirmed were on FamilySearch.org.

In Call's book, I found one of my ancestors, Ira Hatch, who had married an Indian girl in southern Utah of the Piute and Navajo tribes.  It was Ira Hatch's ancestry that was linked to the royalty of Europe, who trace their genealogy back to King David of Israel to show that they are of royal blood and thus claim rights to rule on their thrones.  We also believe that Jesus Christ was a descendant of King David and will one day rule the Earth on the throne of David as a legitimate heir.

This genealogy brought by the two translated disciples of Jesus to the Great Council of Minisorit of the North American Indians showed that Clovis, my ancestor was a descendant of Jesus and Mary Magdalene, his wife.  I was able to trace most of the names in the genealogy of Clovis on FamilySearch.org with one exception, an apparent error.  The Indian record shows that in the genealogy of Clovis that Josephes his ancestor was the son of Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene.  But on FamilySearch.org Josephes is shown as the son of Joseph of Arimethea, Jesus' uncle, perhaps because Jesus and Mary Magdalene had asked Jesus' uncle and his wife to take care of their son while they were busy with the ministry.

In the summer of 2024, I had finished reading the book, Was Jesus Married?, by Lee Wilson when I found the Sacred Records of the Nemenhah that confirmed to me that Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene.  Wilson had interviewed Jewish Rabbis who told him that Jesus as a Rabbi would never had been permitted to teach the gospel, especially to children if he had not been married.  Also, although the Jewish leadership condemned Jesus to death for claiming he was the Son of God, they never once claimed he could not teach the gospel for not being married.

Lee Wilson, then quoted from the Gospel of Philip which was found in Egypt in 1945 two passages that confirmed that Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene.

On page 65, verses 55 and 56, of the Gospel of Philip, who was one of Jesus' apostles states:

"The companion of the Son is Miriam of Magdala.  The Teacher loved her more than all the disciples; He often kissed her on the mouth.  When the disciples saw how he loved Miriam, they asked him, 'Why do you love her more than us?'"

It was because she was his wife, as this further passage in the Gospel of Philip clearly states:

"There were three who always walked with the Lord:  Mary, his mother; the sister of his mother; and Miriam of Magdala, known as his companion; for him, Miriam is a sister, a mother, and a wife." (page 61, verse 32)

The fact that I found in this North American Indian record a genealogy of my own ancestors showing that I am a descendant of Jesus and Mary Magdalene proves to me the truth of the Nemenhah history, which is a history of the descendants of Moroni that also confirms that Moroni was an American Indian descendant of both Nephites and Ammonites who lived in ancient America in what is now the United States of America and which record is a continuing history of the people his father Mormon made of the Nephites in the record that today is known as the Book of Mormon.  The Book of Mormon is an abbreviated history of the Nephites and Lamanites showing that they were Israelites that migrated to America in 600 B.C. from Jerusalem and that they learned from Jesus Christ himself how to establish Zion with one heart and mind having all things in common living the Law of Consecration and Stewardships so that there were no poor among them so that they could eventually have peace with no wars among their people for hundreds of years.  The Nemenhah record also records the visit of the resurrected Christ to Mentinah and Corianton and the Islands of the Pacific after he visited the Nephites in the City of Bountiful shortly after His resurrection from the dead.

Thus we have an excellent example of how a people can establish Zion and live for hundreds of years in peace and happiness.  The translated disciples of Jesus visited the Nemenhah often and prophecied that their descendants in the last days would be instrumental in establishing Zion and live with all things in common once again.  The Nemenhah prophets wrote that the prophet of the Restoration (Joseph Smith) would teach his people to live the Law of Consecration and Stewardships, but that the people would do so only for one generation, and that it would not be until the sixth generation that the descendants of the Nemenhah would receive of these records and again strive to live the Law of Consecration and Stewardships to again work to establish Zion.  (Book of Heinment, Chapter One, Book of Teanicumset, Chapter Three)

I am the sixth generation from my ancestor David Cluff that joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when the Book of Mormon witness Martin Harris sold him a copy of the Book of Mormon while traveling on a river boat.  (1) David Cluff took his family to meet the prophet Joseph Smith and to live in Kirtland, Ohio, where he helped build the Kirtland Temple with his carpentry skills.  David later moved to Nauvoo where he helped with the construction of the Nauvoo temple.  When the Saints were driven from Illinois to the Rocky Mountains, David took his family and was among those Saints that established the City of Provo, Utah.  One of his sons, Benjamin, became President of Brigham Young Academy that later became the University of Brighham Young.  One of David's sons, my ancestor (2) Moses Cluff was called by President Brigham Young to settle Arizona and David went with him and they settled in Show Low, Arizona where they had a Cluff ranch.  The federal government then told them they had to move because the government was giving their ranch to the Apache Indians as a reservation.  They then moved to the Safford area where my great-grandfather (3) Heber Mannasseh Cluff Sr was a teamster shipper where my grandfather Heber Manasseh Cluff was born in Central, Arizona.  Moses Cluff and his boys also established a Cluff Ranch near Mount Graham, in the Safford area where they had a saw mill and floated the logs down the mountain on a flue they built.  When my grandfather (4) Heber Manasseh Cluff, Jr. was eight years old, his father moved their family to northern Mexico where my father (5) Hilven Cluff was born in Colonia Pacheco, and where my mother Helen Whetten was born in Colonia Chuichupa, and I, (6) Rodney M. Cluff was born in Colonia Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico.

So in fulfillment of the prophecies of the Nemenhah prophets, I expect that Zion will again be established in my lifetime as prophecied in the Nemenhah records.  Timothy, the translated Nephite disciple of Jesus, said it will happen in a day when money will lose all its value, and people will run to and fro in the land trying to recover the value of their savings and fail in their efforts to do so. What's more, with all their gold and silver they will be unable to buy even a loaf of bread or a fish to eat. Timothy prophecied that at that time, the descendants of the Nemenhah will again establish Zion, live the sacred Law of Consecration and take care of the poor and needy in these last days before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ to Earth.  (See The Book of Shi Honayah Akektim (the son of Moroni), Chapter Fourteen.)

Section 42 of the Doctrine and Covenants was the revelation of Jesus Christ to the prophet Joseph Smith where the Law of Consecration was once more restored and began to be taught to the early Saints.

Some of the scriptures that refer to establishing Zion are:

Moses 7

16  "And from that time forth there were wars and bloodshed among them; but the Lord came and dwelt with his people, and they dwelt in righteousness.

17 The fear of the Lord was upon all nations, so great was the glory of the Lord, which was upon his people. And the Lord blessed the land, and they were blessed upon the mountains, and upon the high places, and did flourish.

18 And the Lord called his people Zion, because they were of one heart and one mind, and dwelt in righteousness; and there was no poor among them.

19 And Enoch continued his preaching in righteousness unto the people of God. And it came to pass in his days, that he built a city that was called the City of Holiness, even Zion.

20 And it came to pass that Enoch talked with the Lord; and he said unto the Lord: Surely Zion shall dwell in safety forever. But the Lord said unto Enoch: Zion have I blessed, but the residue of the people have I cursed.

21 And it came to pass that the Lord showed unto Enoch all the inhabitants of the earth; and he beheld, and lo, Zion, in process of time, was taken up into heaven. And the Lord said unto Enoch: Behold mine abode forever."

Matthew 25

21 "His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord."

Luke 12

42 "And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?"

Luke 16

2 "And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward."

Acts 2

44 "And all that believed were together, and had all things common;"

Acts 4

32 "And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,

35 And laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.

36 And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus,

37 Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles’ feet."

I Corinthians 1

10 "Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment."

1 Peter 4

10 "As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God."

Titus 1

7 "For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;"

3 Nephi 11

28 "And according as I have commanded you thus shall ye baptize. And there shall be no disputations among you, as there have hitherto been; neither shall there be disputations among you concerning the points of my doctrine, as there have hitherto been.

29 For verily, verily I say unto you, he that hath the spirit of contention is not of me, but is of the devil, who is the father of contention, and he stirreth up the hearts of men to contend with anger, one with another.

30 Behold, this is not my doctrine, to stir up the hearts of men with anger, one against another; but this is my doctrine, that such things should be done away."

3 Nephi 26

19 "And they taught, and did minister one to another; and they had all things common among them, every man dealing justly, one with another."

4 Nephi 1

3 "And they had all things common among them; therefore there were not rich and poor, bond and free, but they were all made free, and partakers of the heavenly gift."

1 Corinthians 4

2 "Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful."

2 Corinthians 8

14 "But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality:"

Mosiah 4

21 "And now, if God, who has created you, on whom you are dependent for your lives and for all that ye have and are, doth grant unto you whatsoever ye ask that is right, in faith, believing that ye shall receive, O then, how ye ought to impart of the substance that ye have one to another."

Alma 1

27 "And they did impart of their substance, every man according to that which he had, to the poor, and the needy, and the sick, and the afflicted; and they did not wear costly apparel, yet they were neat and comely."

Doctrine and Covenants 42

29 "If thou lovest me thou shalt serve me and keep all my commandments.

30 And behold, thou wilt remember the poor, and consecrate of thy properties for their support that which thou hast to impart unto them, with a covenant and a deed which cannot be broken.

31 And inasmuch as ye impart of your substance unto the poor, ye will do it unto me; and they shall be laid before the bishop of my church and his counselors, two of the elders, or high priests, such as he shall appoint or has appointed and set apart for that purpose.

32 And it shall come to pass, that after they are laid before the bishop of my church, and after that he has received these testimonies concerning the consecration of the properties of my church, that they cannot be taken from the church, agreeable to my commandments, every man shall be made accountable unto me, a steward over his own property, or that which he has received by consecration, as much as is sufficient for himself and family.

33 And again, if there shall be properties in the hands of the church, or any individuals of it, more than is necessary for their support after this first consecration, which is a residue to be consecrated unto the bishop, it shall be kept to administer to those who have not, from time to time, that every man who has need may be amply supplied and receive according to his wants.

34 Therefore, the residue shall be kept in my storehouse, to administer to the poor and the needy, as shall be appointed by the high council of the church, and the bishop and his council;

35 And for the purpose of purchasing lands for the public benefit of the church, and building houses of worship, and building up of the New Jerusalem which is hereafter to be revealed—

36 That my covenant people may be gathered in one in that day when I shall come to my temple. And this I do for the salvation of my people.

37 And it shall come to pass, that he that sinneth and repenteth not shall be cast out of the church, and shall not receive again that which he has consecrated unto the poor and the needy of my church, or in other words, unto me—

38 For inasmuch as ye do it unto the least of these, ye do it unto me.

39 For it shall come to pass, that which I spake by the mouths of my prophets shall be fulfilled; for I will consecrate of the riches of those who embrace my gospel among the Gentiles unto the poor of my people who are of the house of Israel.

40 And again, thou shalt not be proud in thy heart; let all thy garments be plain, and their beauty the beauty of the work of thine own hands;

41 And let all things be done in cleanliness before me.

42 Thou shalt not be idle; for he that is idle shall not eat the bread nor wear the garments of the laborer.

43 And whosoever among you are sick, and have not faith to be healed, but believe, shall be nourished with all tenderness, with herbs and mild food, and that not by the hand of an enemy.

44 And the elders of the church, two or more, shall be called, and shall pray for and lay their hands upon them in my name; and if they die they shall die unto me, and if they live they shall live unto me.

45 Thou shalt live together in love, insomuch that thou shalt weep for the loss of them that die, and more especially for those that have not hope of a glorious resurrection."

53 "Thou shalt stand in the place of thy stewardship.

54 Thou shalt not take thy brother’s garment; thou shalt pay for that which thou shalt receive of thy brother.

55 And if thou obtainest more than that which would be for thy support, thou shalt give it into my storehouse, that all things may be done according to that which I have said."

70 "The priests and teachers shall have their stewardships, even as the members."

Doctrine and Covenants 49

20 "But it is not given that one man should possess that which is above another, wherefore the world lieth in sin."

Doctrine and Covenants 51

3 "Wherefore, let my servant (Bishop) Edward Partridge, and those whom he has chosen, in whom I am well pleased, appoint unto this people their portions, every man equal according to his family, according to his circumstances and his wants and needs."

19 "And whoso is found a faithful, a just, and a wise steward shall enter into the joy of his Lord, and shall inherit eternal life."

Doctrine and Covenants 64

40 "And even the bishop, who is a judge, and his counselors, if they are not faithful in their stewardships shall be condemned, and others shall be planted in their stead."

Doctrine and Covenants 69

5 "And also, my servants who are abroad in the earth should send forth the accounts of their stewardships to the land of Zion;"

Doctrine and Covenants 70

4 "And an account of this stewardship will I require of them in the day of judgment."

9 "Behold, this is what the Lord requires of every man in his stewardship, even as I, the Lord, have appointed or shall hereafter appoint unto any man."

Doctrine and Covenants 72

3 "And verily in this thing ye have done wisely, for it is required of the Lord, at the hand of every steward, to render an account of his stewardship, both in time and in eternity."

17 "A certificate from the judge or bishop in this part of the vineyard, unto the bishop in Zion, rendereth every man acceptable, and answereth all things, for an inheritance, and to be received as a wise steward and as a faithful laborer;

22 That they also may render themselves approved in all things, and be accounted as wise stewards."

Doctrine and Covenants 78

5 "That you may be equal in the bonds of heavenly things, yea, and earthly things also, for the obtaining of heavenly things."

22 "And he that is a faithful and wise steward shall inherit all things. Amen."

Doctrine and Covenants 82

3 "For of him unto whom much is given much is required;"

Doctrine and Covenants 104

14 "I, the Lord, stretched out the heavens, and built the earth, my very handiwork; and all things therein are mine.

15 And it is my purpose to provide for my saints, for all things are mine.

16 But it must needs be done in mine own way; and behold this is the way that I, the Lord, have decreed to provide for my saints, that the poor shall be exalted, in that the rich are made low.

17 For the earth is full, and there is enough and to spare; yea, I prepared all things, and have given unto the children of men to be agents unto themselves.

18 Therefore, if any man shall take of the abundance which I have made, and impart not his portion, according to the law of my gospel, unto the poor and the needy, he shall, with the wicked, lift up his eyes in hell, being in torment."

21 "And let all things be done according to the counsel of the order, and united consent or voice of the order, which dwell in the land..."

48 "After you are organized, you shall be called the United Order of the Stake of Zion, the City of Kirtland. And your brethren, after they are organized, shall be called the United Order of the City of Zion.

49 And they shall be organized in their own names, and in their own name; and they shall do their business in their own name, and in their own names;

50 And you shall do your business in your own name, and in your own names."

55 "Behold, all these properties are mine, or else your faith is vain, and ye are found hypocrites, and the covenants which ye have made unto me are broken;

56 And if the properties are mine, then ye are stewards; otherwise ye are no stewards."

59 "For the purpose of building up my church and kingdom on the earth, and to prepare my people for the time when I shall dwell with them, which is nigh at hand.

60 And ye shall prepare for yourselves a place for a treasury, and consecrate it unto my name.

61 And ye shall appoint one among you to keep the treasury, and he shall be ordained unto this blessing.

62 And there shall be a seal upon the treasury, and all the sacred things shall be delivered into the treasury; and no man among you shall call it his own, or any part of it, for it shall belong to you all with one accord."

64 "And the avails of the sacred things shall be had in the treasury, and a seal shall be upon it; and it shall not be used or taken out of the treasury by any one, neither shall the seal be loosed which shall be placed upon it, only by the voice of the order, or by commandment.

65 And thus shall ye preserve the avails of the sacred things in the treasury, for sacred and holy purposes.

66 And this shall be called the sacred treasury of the Lord; and a seal shall be kept upon it that it may be holy and consecrated unto the Lord.

67 And again, there shall be another treasury prepared, and a treasurer appointed to keep the treasury, and a seal shall be placed upon it;

68 And all moneys that you receive in your stewardships, by improving upon the properties which I have appointed unto you, in houses, or in lands, or in cattle, or in all things save it be the holy and sacred writings, which I have reserved unto myself for holy and sacred purposes, shall be cast into the treasury as fast as you receive moneys, by hundreds, or by fifties, or by twenties, or by tens, or by fives.

69 Or in other words, if any man among you obtain five dollars let him cast them into the treasury; or if he obtain ten, or twenty, or fifty, or an hundred, let him do likewise;

70 And let not any among you say that it is his own; for it shall not be called his, nor any part of it.

71 And there shall not any part of it be used, or taken out of the treasury, only by the voice and common consent of the order.

72 And this shall be the voice and common consent of the order—that any man among you say to the treasurer: I have need of this to help me in my stewardship—

73 If it be five dollars, or if it be ten dollars, or twenty, or fifty, or a hundred, the treasurer shall give unto him the sum which he requires to help him in his stewardship—

74 Until he be found a transgressor, and it is manifest before the council of the order plainly that he is an unfaithful and an unwise steward.

75 But so long as he is in full fellowship, and is faithful and wise in his stewardship, this shall be his token unto the treasurer that the treasurer shall not withhold.

76 But in case of transgression, the treasurer shall be subject unto the council and voice of the order.

77 And in case the treasurer is found an unfaithful and an unwise steward, he shall be subject to the council and voice of the order, and shall be removed out of his place, and another shall be appointed in his stead.

78 And again, verily I say unto you, concerning your debts—behold it is my will that you shall pay all your debts."

Doctrine and Covenants 105

5 "And Zion cannot be built up unless it is by the principles of the law of the celestial kingdom; otherwise I cannot receive her unto myself.

6 And my people must needs be chastened until they learn obedience, if it must needs be, by the things which they suffer."

9 "Therefore, in consequence of the transgressions of my people, it is expedient in me that mine elders should wait for a little season for the redemption of Zion—

10 That they themselves may be prepared, and that my people may be taught more perfectly, and have experience, and know more perfectly concerning their duty, and the things which I require at their hands.

11 And this cannot be brought to pass until mine elders are endowed with power from on high."

28 "And to have sent wise men, to fulfil that which I have commanded concerning the purchasing of all the lands in Jackson county that can be purchased, and in the adjoining counties round about.

29 For it is my will that these lands should be purchased; and after they are purchased that my saints should possess them according to the laws of consecration which I have given.

30 And after these lands are purchased, I will hold the armies of Israel guiltless in taking possession of their own lands, which they have previously purchased with their moneys, and of throwing down the towers of mine enemies that may be upon them, and scattering their watchmen, and avenging me of mine enemies unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.

31 But first let my army become very great, and let it be sanctified before me, that it may become fair as the sun, and clear as the moon, and that her banners may be terrible unto all nations;

32 That the kingdoms of this world may be constrained to acknowledge that the kingdom of Zion is in very deed the kingdom of our God and his Christ; therefore, let us become subject unto her laws.

33 Verily I say unto you, it is expedient in me that the first elders of my church should receive their endowment from on high in my house, which I have commanded to be built unto my name in the land of Kirtland."

37 "And inasmuch as they follow the counsel which they receive, they shall have power after many days to accomplish all things pertaining to Zion.

38 And again I say unto you, sue for peace, not only to the people that have smitten you, but also to all people;

39 And lift up an ensign of peace, and make a proclamation of peace unto the ends of the earth;

40 And make proposals for peace unto those who have smitten you, according to the voice of the Spirit which is in you, and all things shall work together for your good.

41 Therefore, be faithful; and behold, and lo, I am with you even unto the end. Even so. Amen."

Shane Baldwin of Zion Media interviews Chief Philip Cloudpiler Landis on how he discovered and translated the Sacred Records of the Nemenhah in a cavern south of Manti in San Pete County, Utah.  Philip Cloudpiler Landis is a descendant of Hagoth, who founded Mentinah, which today is Manti, Utah.

Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren visits the Farmington New Mexico temple open house where he shakes the hand of the LDS general authority, bows, and briefly puts his right hand on his heart.  This is a custom of the Nemenhah described in the Sacred Records of the Nemenhah (see The Book of Shi Honayah Akektim, The Son of Mor Honayah (Moroni), Chapter 10) to show respect and honor indicating that we are all of one heart and mind, the Nemenhah, or Diné, as the Navajo people say it, which means, The People.  Also, on his black hat he wears a feather, indicating the custom of the Nemenhah of the "talking feather" meaning he who is in authority to speak for the People.

The Sacred Records of the Ancient Nemenhah are now being sold in two volumes on Amazon.com.

Last summer, the day before visiting Adam Ondi Ahman we met at the Morrell Ranch just across the creek from Adam Ondi Ahman at a meeting of Zion Media where Chief Midegah and Chief Cloudpiler spoke. Chief Midegah (also known as David Taylor, who is half Indian of the Chippewa Nation of the Ojibwe tribal people near the Great Lakes, is also a descendant of one of the first Indians to join the church at the time of Joseph Smith), reported what he learned from his 12-day fast to get the word of the Lord Jesus Christ for the American Indians. He said he was successful in meeting with Jesus, who he said looks like the painting of Jesus drawn by an 8-year old girl, Akiane Kramarik, from Idaho. Jesus told Chief Midegah to get the Indians ready to start building the temples in Missouri, one of which will be the rebuilding of a temple Chief Midegah and Chief Cloudpiler found the remains of in southern Missouri he says is the ruins of a temple built in the time of Adam made of huge stones.
