Once John had placed his sister-in-law in the relaxed state known as the alpha state of the mind -- that state of the mind where the subconscious mind is most active and alert -- he gave her the suggestion to travel in her mind to her mother's home to see what she was doing.
His sister-in-law then began to speak, saying that she could see her mother in her living room, sitting in her favorite easy chair, reading a book. John then asked her to go around behind her mother's chair, look over her shoulder and see what book she was reading. It was a book by Karl Marx, the Communist Manifesto. Well, then, he asked her, can you see what page she is reading right now? And she read the number of the page. Well, then can you read a few lines of that page to see what it is she is reading on that page? So his sister-in-law then read a few of the lines in the first paragraph of that page.
Later, after bringing his sister-in-law out of the state of relaxation, he asked her to call her mother. When she did she found that, yes, her mother was, in fact, reading a book by Karl Marx while relaxing in her easy chair. She was preparing for a lecture at the university the next day, for a class she was taking for her Masters Degree. And what page was she studying? It was the page that John's sister-in-law had read in the mind travel session. And what was in the first paragraph of that page? It was the same words she had read in her mind travel session with John Terry -- all from the distance of 2,500 miles!
In subsequent years, the details of the ReSPITE® technique were developed between John and Bonny Adams, whom he met one day at the company John worked for. He found she was particularly adept at taking hypnotic suggestions and over the years they have had many sessions testing the technique and traveling into the past, present and future here on earth and even to other planets. In these travels that John has sent Bonny on, they have been so real to her that she can remember everything that she experienced and was able to use that knowledge to assist their discoveries in subsequent mind travel sessions.
In these mind travel sessions Bonny would tell John the colors of peoples eyes, hear what they were speaking and even discern the thoughts that they were thinking. She could see spirit beings, taste things, feel the texture of items, smell the environments she was in -- all with even more clarity that if she had actually been there physically. Together, they have been to the center of the earth, to cavern cities in the earth's shell, and to cities beneath the sea. They have investigated UFOs and entered into their thoughts to learn what the UFOnauts were thinking as they were making crop circles, or setting up bases on the bottom of the ocean, or even going to the planetary seat of the United Federation of Planets and sit in a session of the governing council of this sector of our Milky Way Galaxy to witness their deliberations on how they are monitoring our Solar System and our planet Earth!
In other sessions, they have gone back in time to see Adam and Eve being expelled from the Garden of Eden, and how they lived in a cave and raised their children and made sacrifices to the Lord. Then they journeyed on down through time to visit Moses and the Israelite exodus from Egypt, and on to the time of Christ to witness His birth. They have even gone into the future to see what is on the immediate horizon and the challenges the human race is going to face in the near future. The details given were as if she were that actual person. She could answer any question John could put to her, as if she were her actual ancestor.
So in mind travels you can enter into a person's life as if you were that person, think their thoughts and say their words, exactly as it happened -- and yet you are all the while comfortably and safely seated in your easy chair in the comfort of your own home. And when you are brought back out of the hypnotic relaxation session, you can still remember everything you experienced as if you had actually been there experiencing it -- because in your mind you WERE actually there. You were ACTUALLY there with all your five senses AND extra-sensory perceptions of your subconscious mind recording everything -- seeing, smelling, touching, hearing, EVERYTHING you witnessed and experienced.
